I get into a heightened adrenalin state when I am inflicting pain - but only when I am with soomeone who truly enjoys it. But I have had many subs who weren't into pain, and never received more than an occasional nip or fanny-swat. Being that I am a woman in the scene, I am pretty much alsways put upon by male doms and I politely explain that I do not find being in pain erotic, but rather, quite the opposite. I have had to repeat it a few times, and sometimes had to turn the question around and ask "Do YOU enjoy being corporally tortured?"
Be who you are, and don't allow anyone to pressure you or hassle you about what you don't personally enjoy. There's a big difference between testing limits in realms where you do find pleasure - and just getting stuck doing something that is no fun. (Like how many painsluts really like the torture of a long line at the DMV?)
