Of course an act doesn't change a person's sexual orientation - - unless they enjoy it. I like that: situational "bi"; though you could leave of "situational" and nothing changes. I think everyone would agree labels, as a starting point for communication and understanding, are essential for survival. In addition, we need labels to make distinctions and predictions, as well as to avoid ignorance, ambiguity and confusion as much as possible. Problems with labels arise when people use them with the intent to hurt someone, to pigeon hole their entire being into a dehumanizing sterotype, e.g., "homosexuality": some will pigeon hole gays to their sexual preferences, denying them of the rest of their entire humanity.
