I don't particularly care for living alone, but I'm not going to have someone here just for the sake of having company. I'd consider moving elsewhere, but it would be a fairly involved process as I have a primary residence and two rentals. I'd happily have the right person live with me, and I would structure finances so that whomever would end up better off. I'll even share appreciation in the house.

I own my own home (along with the bank at the moment) and my Master currently rents in the same town. He wants to buy a house and at some point we both want to live together (but not for a while - it's a new relationship and if we co-habit it will be a significant step for both of us). At some point we're going to end up with 2 houses, I foresee renting one out being in our future as neither one of us would be comfortable asking the other to give up the security of having a home of our own to go back to if anything went wrong. I see that as practical, but when I explained it to a few friends of mine they saw it as pessimistic. Shrug. I've had to start again so many times over the years I simply feel too old in the tooth to be arsed to do it again and because I know how complicated and stressful it can be I wouldn't ask anyone else to do it either. If in the years to come we married I might feel differently, but even then I suspect I'd still want to have that security blanket of somewhere to run to if I need to. Funny thing about knowing there's a back door - if I know I've got options I don't feel the panic the same way when life is rough and don't go looking for the door as often.... ok I'm obviously derranged! LOL

I'm just gunshy about the physchobitches in "the scene". I'm not terribly keen on having some judgemental, emotionally sadistic twat moving in on my territory and making needless hassles and drama in my life. And you don't always see that -until they move in. It's best to be patient and take one's time.
