Status: offline 		Recently I've started to read the beauty books again. But this time while reading the book my life with Master is something new and the way we live is totaly different from what we've ever known. We don't have kids only relatives, friends and family come visit at times. Most of the time its just He and i. Our house is somewhat removed from unsuspecting passerbyers so we can pretty much do what we want when we want type of thing. Now before I ramble on to much, my question is has anyone heard or known of many people being actual slave groomers? For Master and I we could most certainly entertain this idea of having someone like that in our lives. Well me more than him (wink) But I was just wondering ...never realy seen or heard of anyone taking on that role other than guys just wanting to rub feet legs and such. Any feed back would be cool. ........simply nicole

Status: offline 		Can you explain what you mean by "groomer"? Are you saying essentially a lady or lord-in-waiting to dress/prepare the slave? Or are you talking about something that's like a trainer/teacher?

Status: offline 		If you are talking about someone who "trains" a person for slavery, there are quite a few who claim to do that but, in my opinion, as a general matter, it's unlikely in the extreme.

For that to work, all or at least most masters would need to want the same thing in a slave, while in reality the needs and desires vary widely. There are trainers who do very well at teaching various specific things like positions but for me I'd rather my slave go to vanilla schools. For example Rio went to a pedicure school to learn to do Libby's feet properly. Smiler has taken cooking courses. The "personal" things I want a slave to do I'm perfectly capable of teaching her .... my way!

I knew an older man who claimed that at one time he was a 'slave trainer'. He was a trainer quite some time ago by todays standards. He was paid well, typically if not exclusively by rich men to train willing female slaves. His idea of slavery and what today's BDSM community (the vast majority) consider to be slavery are quite different. Was it true? All I have is his word.

I think that with the population of the world being what it is that someone somewhere is doing something that you would think unlikely (whether it's this or something else who knows). They probably just aren't advertising in the yellow pages :-)

As for the bathing and such, I prefer submissive to that to me. There is nothing like lying in a tub filled with hot water and having someone shampoo one's hair or scrub one's back. Libby even goes further. One of her greatest pleasures is having Rio massage her feet and give her a pedicure.

However, I guess it is something that one slave could do for another.

Status: offline 		yes Faramire I did. The bridle path was where the slaves were beat down the path for every ones veiwing pleasure. The slaves in the beauty series were pampered at first, they only got sent away or got the harsh stuff if they were in disgrace or stolen. or both lol. BEuaty did not want to be rescued when they were so they were in disgrace when they got back

Like equestrian grooms, these people are responsible for tending to the slaves physically. They comb the hair, bathe, oil, adorn, and "tack" the castle slaves. They also treated the welts and sore flesh, when necessary. Basically, responsible for the care and feeding of the castle slaves.

i think she is asking if there are slaves or submissives in reality that would take on that service role. keep in mind, though, the dynamic would be totally different. the grooms in the fictional books were in charge of the slave. They were doing their job, and had the authority to instruct the slaves at least a little.

*grin* And yeah, i am re-reading the series, but i am skipping around to the good parts, alot.

Status: offline 		Wow ... what wonderful feed back. I don't think that someone of my equal would be right for something like that. It would have to be someone above me who thought along the same lines as Master. Once a week have someone come out to the house or before a party would be realy interesting. But yeah ..... no training on the domestic slave things and such simply care pampering punishment. I think it would be very interesting. But I'd just like to thank all of you for your input its so nice. Thank you ......nicole
