Irishlad -> Censoring? (10/31/2005 9:38:38 AM)

Is it common practice for emails to be censored, edited, or completely removed?

I don't know about common but yes it happens. Depending on the content of your message. If this is happening to you and if you haven't already you may want to read the rules about posting. They may offer you an idea of why (I assume) your messages are getting edited or deleted.

i'm a relative newcomer on here, but i've not ever had an email censored or edited (but other than receiving some words that weren't so very polite, i've not had content in them that would ever necessitate censorship). some will sometimes end up unsent, and others will show up with url tags that the sender is no longer a member.

forum posts sometimes will be edited as need be to conform with tos. the above information pertains to collarme emails, and is not complete and is only based upon my experiences.

I believe that emails are not censored, but things like web ads with dot com are filtered, as well as some words that are considered offensive. People have lost emails or have problems recieving them but thats a tech prob.
Posts are pulled if they dont meet the terms of service. You sign up so you accept the terms so you got to stick to them. That isn't censorship, thats just rules.

Depends on the system.

Corporate emails can be. I can ask my Master who is a geek about this stuff.......................

On here, I have never had an e-mail touched. Even ones with content that blatantly disregarded the TOS.

Posts here? Yes. Because they have to be within the American legal system. Or if they're inflamatory, pointless, or inapropriate to the boards.

Read the rules. Post accordingly. Simple.

My email doesn't work for beans, and sometimes entire threads disappear (like the Subincision one, on Ask A Mistress). It's all up to admin judgement, so you just move on.
