chicagoswitch -> sub teaching new Dom (6/12/2008 3:41:10 PM)
I have found a Dom I am very attracted to and trust deeply. I am a masochist. He is not a sadist and is always worried about hurting me. I know I cannot turn him into something he isn't, but would like to show him I am not fragile. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you

It really just boils down to communication and preference. Discuss. Demonstrate. Decide. Discuss what you like, and how; demonstrate for him if need be what you enjoy by performing on yourself; decide, both you and he, what you can accept from each other.
Good luck.

Just watch your terminology... avoid trigger words like "whip". Start out with things that will be way less threatening like a spanking with a ruler (all us guys probably had taht fantasy at one point, or at least have discussed it with our friends).
I can so totally sympathize with the dom in this story... I'm new to the whole thing and have historically been about as vanilla as they come. It still makes me laugh a bit when I look at my nightstand and see a wooden ruler there used for **OMG SPANKING MY WIFE'S NIPPLES OMG*. But hey, it pleases her and I like making my wife go nuts.. who wouldn't?

switch,
In my opinion it is not going to happen. Teaching sadism will go against his grain if it is not there now.
