Two Tops were walking toward each other in the BIG dungeon at Thunder In The Mountains. One Top was in their early 20s, the other obviously much older. The dungeon was littered with submissives, all without anyone to care for them or play with them. Like starfish washed up on a beach, they were withering emotionally without attention (hint, story origins).
The younger Top watched the older one pick up a submissive and play with them. Then, one at a time he cared for and played with the others giving them a chance to submit, feel useful and have fun. The young top thought, “Why is he doing that? How foolish. He can’t play with or save them all.”
As they came near one another, the younger Top felt compelled to point out to the older one the futility in this action and said, “You know, you can’t save them all. Most of them will wither here in the dungeon. What you are doing really won’t make any difference.” The older Top studied the young one for a moment. Then bent down, picked out a submissive, took them in hand, cared for them and played with them. He smiled at the young Top and said, “It made a difference to that one.” Then he walked on, and continued picking up other submissives.
