Two words:
HULK SMASH!

Not a lot of plot... but everything else you would want from a Hulk movie.  Lots of fights.  Lots of familiar faces doing Cameos.

It's out now?

I know they were worried that the last Hulk movie would sour the audience for this one.  Kinda wondered why the hell they would take the chance.

Because the 'chance' was the chance to do it right in a lot of fans' eyes. To make the Hulk the way it was intended and not some weird story of young angst.

As for plot....the original Hulk comics had one plot "Hulk smash, Army chase." That was pretty much it.

Why are there a lot of movies this summer based on comic books?  Have comic books themselves become popular again?

Thank you.

according to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800080/faq#.2.1.7 it's because "There seems to be a trend in the new Marvel movies. Marvel have gained the rights back to Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor and Ant-Man. All these characters were the classic line up of the super team The Avengers. Marvel wants to make the individual movies (referencing each other/establishing that these characters all live in the same world), then cross them over into a multi-character super-hero epic."

Oh my god, imagine a super hero movie with Heath as "The Incredible Bulk"... brilliantly awful :-) . But the storyline would have to stick to the winning recipe... Could Thatch play the Bulk's arch enemy? Thatchgirl vs Bulk...

It rocks!

It's been done. He wasn't "incredible" though. He was "The Inedible Bulk." I just read about him today actually.

Evidently, neither could I. I had "planned" to see it Saturday. But about 9:40 tonight, I decided it would be easy to make the last showing.

It. Fucking. ROCKED.

I just might see it again later. I saw Iron Man twice, afterall.
