Mt last post on this was truncated, then mangled.

I am not being elitist here, but as a relatively new member , is there need for a space for intellectuals with deviant interests. In tis group I would include students, academics, senior public servants, technical specialists, lawyers, and other professional. Further ir would be
limited--more honest self-identication to enourage artists, painters, performers and philosophes. I do have an alterior motive: sassy, sophisticated women with intellects to match their radiance. I have met one already, hopefully this can have wider benefit that just me and provider opportunities for others.

What if you are not picked to be one of the elite?

I am afraid you might be totally right, but my magnanimous streak and satirical playfulness has been left undiminished.

Because if people don't post within 10 minutes then it's always a good idea to make overgeneralized degrading judgements about them.

The problem is that intellectuals in many ways are just like everyone else. Just because someone is really smart doesn't mean I will want to hang with them, though it does increase the odds.

I haven't found there to be a derth of intellectuals in the "community."

Maybe it's just who you're associating with?

And like Emerald (damn, I gotta get a handle on your new handle) said, intellectual people are often darn annoying.

*smile* I'm still emerald everywhere else, it was a big choice for me to switch over here. Until we get another frequent emerald poster, I don't think it's a big deal, we all know who you mean.

Yes, but maye a cultural thing.

Even despite our supposed egaliterianism (First country to give women vote in 1893), there a terrible anti-intellectual inpulse. Me amd my friends, most emancipatory Marxists try to bring down the whole pretentiousness and wankery of suppose haute culture. We;d argue that inellectuals are important for fomenting polical change, and when I taught in Timisoara (cradle of the Romanian revolution of 89), irt was the academics, artists, et who lead the way and were the first to be liquidated. Intellectuals, Thinkers cannot be disinterested from action. I appreciate I might upset some people, but if I had said: looking for a girl ith 54EEs then no one would have batted any eyelid--why so Lucky Albatross ?

I would hesitate to jump on others, just because you happen to own a dictionary and a thesaurus does not make you an intellectual.
There is intellectual IQ and Emotional IQ, if there were such a board for only intellectual’s only you may not fit in.
There are quite a few intellectuals in the lifestyle you just have to go out and find them.
If there were a board devoted to just them. People who were not would also be in it.

Use some common sense.

Ok. Mind your manners. It was said in a playful fashion. Hence my acquiescent to your opinion. I am just as prepared to lampoon myself has have a chortle or too over something equally asinine done by someone else. I do hope you're are joking. Otherwise I will be recommending to our Ambassador in Washington that our covert doctoring of the water supply with Fluoxetine Hydrochloride should be monumentally increased ?

Do you guys and gals get taught to smile or is angst just it ?

Hello

Who are I jumping on ? Who ?
I do own several dictionaries but not a thesarus. That is irrelevant for me.

English is a language of grandeur and grandiloquence: should we not all try to speak it better ?

That is a good suggestion. This was an intellectual finding technique and I have been given a few names. Of course, they might be complete assholes. I resist taxonomies and typologies usually, but am I not allowed to seek out what interests me ?

Had I put black american dommes wih 53EE breasts....no one would have batted an eyelid.

Names, from these boards? Perhaps a real life meeting at a munch in your local area would work much better.
Interest's are fine. If you put a black american domina(by the way domme is not a word)
people would have responded to you. In fact the mod's may not have even moved this to the random stupidity section.

Good Luck on your search.
