My lil upstairs tv seems to be having volume problems.  a few channels are almost too low to hear, while most of them are fine.

i have cable tv with a cable on it now; am planning to change to satellite soon.

A/anyone have any idea why this happens, or how i can fix it?

Thank You,

The "soft" channels are coming in with weaker signal than the loud channels.  Get cable, get satellite, or get a better antennae (don't know your area so can't say what's best).

My TV is teeny and is very low volume, even if turned all the up. But is freeview not cable or whatnot. So I watch things on iplayer or 4od on me computor, and thusly can have it ver ver loud to annoy all around me.

I have the same problem with my sky box the sound occasionally cuts out but I have learnt to lip-read the adult channels so it isn't so bad. oooooohhh ahhhhh etc.

This can happen if what is called the quadrature coil is misadjusted, but usually it is the stations themselves.

Don't look for anything to change, except in the menu there might be smartsound, or levelsound or something like that. Alot of TVs have it now. That is what that feature is for.

Invisibility would be well cool. I'd people watch to a mad degree. And move things and creep people out.

Hijack over.

Phew.

or you could turn on the closed captions and forget the volume.  works for us, he's hearing impaired so i've gotten used to it, actually.  i have come to prefer it to be honest, while i was in the hospital recently i used it rather than disturb my roomie.
