My question is, why is it always the good looking girls with those perky tits and perfect mouth, and the come lay me smile, that gets killed.  Why not that sweet innocent thing that wouldnt let you touch her through her sweater that gets knocked off?

Or in the scream series, that stupid, pain in the ass newswoman always survives and her cameramen always die.  I mean give me a break, if any one deserved to be hacked and gutted it was her!

I think it is because those perky tits and perfect mouth look best running through sprinklers, catching their blouses on trees and fences as they get ripped off bit by bit, jumping into water, taking showers or having sex while the killer lurks outside.

But that would ruin the surprise when the person in front suddenly has a knife pokeing out his back.... another stupid over done plot gimmick.

Then there is always the screw up cop that finally makes the connection to who is doing it, gets knifed, left for dead and then shows up to save the last foxy chick from the killer.....

And how come it is always a white guy that is either the hero or the killer?

Why not a black guy, native american, latin american?

And why not a minority hero, or a female hero which I cant spell, keeps coming out looking like a narcotic....

Native American Chuck Norris was the hero in Silent Rage, and Flounder (Steven Furst) from Animal House played the backward walking deputy....

I'm a HUGE fan of horror, but find all horror movie "devices" boring.  Why?  Because by nature, a movie "device" will become stale (fairly quickly).  There's rarely anything original in horror now.  Hell, we've managed to reach the "pointless gore" point in horror movie making.  Remember when horror was good yet showed very little (i.e. Hitchcock?)?  Does anyone stop to think that even though The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is considered to be one of the goriest movies around, it features very little of it (the original, not the remake).
