I didn't know where to post this so I though maybe this would be a good place.  Can someone help me?  Is there any way to turn .TIFF files into .jpegs without photoshop?  Any free photoshop programs you can suggest?

Also I am trying to hook my sony handycam as a webcam and it hooks up fine but the way it shows on the computer is HEAVILY pixilated but when you look on the screen directly on the actual camera it looks perfect.  Is there a setting or something you know of on a camcorder to fix this?

http://www.gimp.org/ The Gimp is a free alternative to Photoshop that works on most operating systems. It isn't the prettiest of user interfaces, but it works, and is free and legal.

......I'm not sure but can't you use MSPaint to do that? Just load the picture up and save as a JPG?

You can...but it either
A) will lose the original quality to the point you might think it was taken back in the eighties
or
B) it is so grainy you couldn't tell what the heck it is
