I would like to be living a little closer to Boston, but overall I'm happy with where I am right now. Unfortunately, I'm moving in two months because of school...=\

In East Norfolk - by the coast - within walking distance of a nice pub that sells Abbots Ale - and great Fish and Chips.

My dream would be to live in a big city, not in the united states. Or go west. Iwould love to move away from my family, not that we are on bad terms it would just seem more of an adventure i think.

I would move back to Monterey, California. I was stationed there for a little over a year when I was in the Navy and I loved every minute of it. The weather is always wonderful, not too hot, not too cold. The pace is relaxed and the beaches are beautiful. There are some really good restaurants and some wonderful people. Plus they have the only movie theater I have ever been to with love seats in the back (if it is still open!).

In the middle of the Mojave desert, off a couple mile long dirt road that isn't marked.  I love the desert, and I love tranquility.  When it comes time to visit, whether I go there or they come here....it's special.  And it's close to Vegas and Laughlin.

That's where I grew up shiver. In the middle of nowhere (the Mojave) in a town called Amargosa Valley. Sometimes I miss the solitude, but then I remember that I would have to drive at least an hour to get to a movie theater or Starbucks or even a restaurant and I get over it! I do miss how it smells when it rains though.

i completely understand what you are saying..there is something wonderful about the desert....i lived in vegas for 5 years but travelled to laughlin quite often for work.  if i were single still, i probably would end up relocating to laughlin...small town on the river out in the middle of nowhere almost...wonderful.

When I was with the 82nd, I really came to love N. Carolina.  While there are individual things that I don't like, they pale in comparison to the things I do love and when you take everything as a whole, it is a gorgeous place.  Somewhere within the state where I could be at the ocean in a couple of hours...being near water always calms me...and where I could be up in the mountains in a couple of hours...love the Biltmore Castle.  Perhaps running a Bed and Breakfast with that "perfect" submissive for me, having BDSM-only weekends for friends.

A BDSM bed and breakfast?! Now that sounds like a fun way to make a living.

For me, it's not so much as a location but who I'm with. I always thought I'd move to a remote mountain area after my monsters were out of the house and live a quiet life by myself yet I find myself starting a wonderful life in a city in Eastern Canada (Niagara region) with an incredible man. Happiness for me would be to be where he is, so if he's happy here, so be it.

Now having said that, I think we could change the housing to a 3 or 4 bedroom house with a yard and a pool, something in a nice part of town close to work for him. If such a thing exists...

Down in the Texas hill country on a nice piece of land, about a thousand  acres with an ample supply of fresh water, live oaks and pine, in a traditional japanese post and beam home, with two acres of meditation garden, and at least 3 miles in any direction to my neighbors.
I would have an 8 foot high game fence with some nice thorny vines growing in it so people wouldnt climb over.
Outside the garden would be a workshop with a forge, and all the tools a bladesmith would need, as well as water driven boring machines and power hammers.  With a nice large stand of bamboo.
And last, but not least, about 1 to 2 tons worth of nickle iron meteorite to use in making blades.

i really liked Texas Hill Country. only spent a few days there visiting a friend living in Kerrville.  it is the only place i could live in Texas, besides Austin area...but then i think they consider Austin part of Hill Country.
