(It's like some kind of hash brown thing...but it's not actually hash browns...it's like some foreign, landing from Mars thing...which isn't actually hash browns....but it isn't actually something that resembles anything from this planet either....it's like a hash brown, sausage, fatty, something grabbed from the curb, reconstituted, road kill, page 2 kind of thing). What the fuck is it actually?

Well, based on my frequent experience eating falafels, the balls themselves are ground chickpeas (or garbanzo beans, depending on what part of the country you're from) mixed with spices and parsley, then rolled in a ball. I think they might be fried after that. They are very tasty, and available either on a plate with Mediterranean salad and stuff, or in a wrap with assorted veg (pickled cabbage, lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, and pickles are common) along with garlic sauce, tzaziki, and sometimes hot sauce.

While I don't see most 18 year olds as prepared to go out and successfully BE polyamorous, I would say most can understand the concept just fine.

i grew up in the Philadelphia area and two of my favorite foods are cheese steak sandwiches and scrapple. i have since lived in several places and this is what they do to cheese steaks: in Oklahoma they put it on a sourdough roll and use American cheese - in West Virginia they put it on a French roll and add lettuce, tomato and mayonaise. My memory of a cheese steak sandwich is an Italian roll, thin sliced (minute)steak grilled and chopped along with onion and green bell pepper and topped with provalone cheese. Scrapple is a pork (and pork byproducts) breakfast meat that has corn meal and seasonings most notably sage. It comes in a loaf and you slice it, fry it, and pour a little maple syrup over it. The brand seems to make a difference, too. i prefer the one in the red and white package.
