Subspace comes in many forms. It doesn't have to be a floaty feeling and it doesn't have to come with just impact play. Just last night, rather unexpectedly I hit subspace...and it came during a time when he wasn't even taking control. It happened because a feeling overcame me. I could talk just fine and didn't feel floaty. I've had episodes of subspace where I completely lost my ability to speak a cohesive sentence and where I couldn't walk because I was dizzy. I've gotten chilled to the bone in even the warmest of rooms and I've felt flushed and needed a cold glass of water. So even one person may experience subspace in different manners, dependant upon the activities and the partner. I've put people in subspace with simple words and with gentle loving touch as well as hard, fierce impact play. I've done it with fire, with needles, fur and leather. Everyone is different. I believe you should keep in mind this feeling, and see if it happens again and under what conditions. If the next time occurs within the same or similar realm, I'd say you hit subspace and congrats to you. If it happens when you are watching tv, working, or doing something else, then I'd consider the health implications such as a drop in blood sugar or a change in blood pressure etc. and then you need to see your doc. We can't help you with that here. Never let anyone tell you that you didn't hit subspace simply because you didn't fit their paradigm of what they believe subspace (or domsapce for that matter) to be.
