Every one of your arguments has been gone over and debunked in the preceding thread, 59. Try reading through it and if you come up with anything new or relevant, be sure and let us know. Okay? Thanks.

What I said is rock solid and well known,it`s up to you to argue it or play games.Your choice.

Referring to a thread from the past is kinda lazy.

Do you have proof that an oil company was denied an application to build a new refinery in the US?

Or proof that an oil company even applied for one in the 1st place?

Got any proof at all, that enviromentalists stopped an oil refinery from being built.

Got any proof that ANWR will give us any more than a year`s worth of the oil we need?

Got any proof that Exxon will sell us gas any cheaper than the spot market price?

Sense you`re arguing for the assholes who are gouging us(by billions) ,I think the onus is on you to be forthcoming and explain why this should be and why we should accept this.

It should be easy to answer those questions(w/out mentioning another, past thread),if they are so plain to see.

As a pro-Bush guy,I think the burden of proof is on you to show why we should be paying through the nose and getting ripped off.

Be sure to let us know.

Maybe this is the link you're trying to locate - The 'Idle' Oil Field Fallacy.

Or maybe not.

Another ruse...as exemplified first by the fact that ALL of those fields in question ARE producing oil and gas as we speak. They wouldn't be drilling and producing now if it wasn't a slam dunk on finding more oil. Plus, if there was no geological basis for any further exploration and drilling, the oil cos. surely woudn't plunk down billions on leases as a role of the dice. The paid because there is oil there and acts as the whole basis for including these leases on the asset side of the books and as in any investment prospectus.

Trust me, independant and other govt. geologists have estimated the 70-80 Billion bbls. which is all any geologists or oil analyst can do.

Furthermore the oil companies have been buying up competitors (closing down) at liberty and have now taken 2 million bbl of oil OUT of production (refining) into gasoline which by percentage of oil/bbl. into gas means approx. 15 million gals. of gas/DAY...OUT of production since 2000 when the US uses over 80 million gals. of gas/day.

As we write, oil from Prudoe Bay, Alaska is being sold to the Japanese...not ALL piped down here. How much oil from Anwar will be exported ?

The republican party is carrying the water for the oil companies all throughout debate in congress and the WSJ is about the least objective observer of all.
