Foreign anyone is usually quite a hassle, but if they are really interested in putting in the work necessary to make the transition then they might be viable. If they want you to help them with a fare somewhere, then by all means do so, however have them send you their part and then you make the arrangements. If you are really helping them, and they actualy have the money, they shouldnt have a problem with that, or they will object on the same grounds you would to sending it to them. Make sure they know what paperwork needs to be filed, and they are starting the filing as soon as things work out. Be sure they can make their own way when they get here, and will not be dependant on you for things for more than a few weeks while they transition into a new waiting job.
Aside form the paperwork delay, though, this sounds strangely like the advice I give people who are looking at keeping a slave form another state.

After reading all of the advice given here on this board and I am very thankful of this advice. I will choose to pass. The one thing that stuck out the most; "Better to be Safe, then sorry". I'd rather not come on here and whine on how I got burned. lol. Thanks again.

or take care of everything for the rest of my days

As strange as it may sound, I would indded enjoy a slave from Aus,New Zealand,Thiland or any where in the southeast Asia area,Germany,Russia or any of several other countries.
They must provide their own way here and when they sign the slave agreement,I will repay them  their costs.

I see no problem with taking in a slave from a foreign country... but then I found my slave that way and am very very very happy with her....she actualy refused to let me help her with money for her transition.  So dont be compleatly put off by the idea of a foreign slave.[:)]

I have heard the same things, now isn't that amazing.  Though the ones I hear it from want to submit to me on the second e-mail as long as send the money to alleviate their sob story.

Whether its foreign or from another state it is the same...
Make it here, stay for the allotted time and I would split the fare. It then comes down to chemistry and personality. But, the job's not done until the paperwrk is finished.

Only problem i have with this scenario is when you break up and they go to the authorities claiming you kept them as a slave (slave contract works for them in this case) and you didn't pay them proper wages for the cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, etc that they did for you.  They could also say you beat them to keep them from leaving and going to the authorities.  Just too many hassles involved as far as i'm concerned.

But, serious answer: it's a quick drive from the Nigerian border, and letters from Nigeria have a bad rep.  So more Nigerian scammers are basing their contact point in Accra.

she came in here on a 6 month visitors visa and recently had it upgraded as we wait for the rest of the paper work to finish going through for her permant residancy under the marrige papers that we put through not to long ago....feel free to call BS all you wand it doesnt change anything about what is going on in my life...is immigration into a contry a pain in the ass HELL YES it is ....but it is far from impossable and immigrating into the USA is one of the easiest places once you get through the paper work we have one of the most accepting immigration policys in the world.....but i doubt you have any idea about the process or the policys as you havent ever delt with them....to get into the USA is purly about money and time and a shit load of paper work....but thanks for tying to play the BS card and making yourself look like an ass

Seems to me any slave can do this - not just ones from out of the  country.

And it took me about 6 months to get an H-1 visa twenty something years ago, so i hate to think how long it would take now. I also had to get a full set of spinal xrays, and fingerprinted.  When i applied for my permanent residency  I had to swear that i didn't engage in "acts of moral turpitude". I wanted to ask what they considered moral turpitude, but my hubby said that the feds had no sense of humour! hehe
