When I was young, my Dad and my Grandad bought two basset hound pups from a litter, one male and one female. These were two of the most obstinate, stupid, cantakerous beasts that ever walked the earth! They grew quite large and many's the time that I saw Dad trudging up th ehill with Max in his arms because the stupid dog had decided the he wasn't goign to walk any more and just plomped himself down and refused to move.

Someone I worked with had a dog that hung himself. I guess they had a doghouse in the backyard and he had a chain to his collar to keep him around there. Well, somehow he jumped over the doghouse and the chain wasn't long enough for him to get his feet on the ground. RIP dog.

No doubt you are correct, as every lab I have had in the past likes shoes. But when it comes teasing, now that's a trait born of individuality that ya gotta admire, even if it sometimes makes you late for an appointment or two. ;}

Black labs liking shoes huh? I think perhaps you have something in common with the labs ;-)
