Greetings All,
We are hosting a Masters Retreat soon and one of the activities will be discussion groups on different topics. This will not be a class, but a discussion time with a bulleted handout to help start the topic and guide the discussion time.   

I would like to ask the forum, submissives mostly,  what do you think would be the 3 most important points for a Master to consider, know, learn, and discuss on these three topics?


Knowing yourself and your needs

Effective training, discipline and punishments

Meeting the needs of the slave

Knowing yourself and your needs
    What dynamic do you want? How will it be set up? Managed? maintained? Where can you gain experience of this working well?

    Effective training, discipline and punishments

      Punishments IMO are for when stuff fucks up badly ... and when it fucks up badly nothing is going to get solved with a cane ... many cannot see beyond the retribution and fail to recognise the need for rehabilitation.

      When a slave messes up, a Master should examine if they gave the slave the equipment to succeed. DV taught me to iron his shirts before He expected me to do them perfectly ... just like I would show my pupils what the rules were before I expected them to be followed in class. But how many Masters honestly do that?

      I feel the best way to meet the "needs" of a slave are to be a good Owner - be responsible, and behave with integrity. Sometimes thats all the slave needs.

          Sadly not all that many. They just expect the new sub will know and do things their way..

          punishments is just one third of the topic.. it takes training (or teaching, showing, what ever you want to call it) and the discipline to learn and do it.. punishment is just a small part of the whole picture.

          Any thoughts on the other two?

          I agree with your comments. Do you have any insights on how to do that other then the universal just be a good person?
