my nipples took almost 2 years to heal completely, and i never used clamps in that time. Now that they're fully healed, my Master occasionally uses clover clamps on them, but these are generally placed behind the piercings. As mistoferin said, applying clamps onto the actual piercings themselves hurts a LOT more & not in a good way. i have to agree with sharemeuk with regards to taking them out for any length of time.. Even just for a scene. Personally, i wouldn't want to risk it. It varies a lot from person to person, but even once they are "fully healed" they can still seal up surprisingly quickly, as the body will always try to find ways to repair what it would consider to be "damage". i wouldn't know about the difference in sensitivity between having my bar's in or out, because the only times i take them out is to change them, which only takes a couple of seconds. But i would imagine that there is little difference.. If not perhaps that having them in makes them more sensitive if they're being pinched due to the fact of something solid being in the middle of them. Also have to agree with faerytattoodgirl.. Yep clover clamps are ouchie!!! Esp if He decides its a good idea to put them on behind the bars and then pull on them until they pop off [:(] xx
