Do slave have right to change there minds on there rights?

KittenWithaTwist -> RE: nned to know (11/5/2005 4:22:27 PM)

It all depends on how you define the word. Some will tell you a slave has no rights, period, so obviously, by that definition, no, you cannot change them. Other will tell you that a slave has some rights, or that a slave is given some priviledges on an individual basis.

The thing is, it's individual. You need to ask whoever owns you if it's possible, or, if you aren't owned, you need to ask yourself how YOU feel about your own rights.

Well, of course. But a Master has the right to change his mind about the slave if that happens. Realistically, everything you're doing is consensual, so it's not like somebody can hold a gun to your head and force you to live up to a slave contract.

I think the biggest question to be answered would be WHY you need to change something -- that would make all the difference in the world to me.

Are you looking at an M/s slave or a Gorean slave? If the latter, a Gorean slave has only what "rights" her Master allows her. But she does have the right to quit and leave.

from my understanding that is more of a submissive's right as in renegotiating the contract/limits.

slaves only have the rights their master allows them....
unless of course you leave

"Should" they NO not if they were a slave at heart and had a true commitment but then if they did have that the mear thought of that occuring would not exist.

"Can" they.. Yes this is not "Gor" it is not a fantasy land it is ( i am assuming ) reality.

It is in the heart and soul of commitment that creates a slave

In this country we have this rather old document that says you have certain 'inalienable rights'. These include life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. Of course you have the 'right' to change your mind, BUT, like Obis pointed out, the Master then has the 'right' to change his mind about you and your relationship. In other words, Yes you can change your mind, but you will have to live with the consequences of that action.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Especially the "WHY" behind it.
