Well I am not sure about approval in that sense. Legally they cannot deny you promotion baised on lifestyle choices however realistically it does happen, they just don't use that as the reason. The question is how will they know. The only things I am aware of that would have that much of someones background investigated are security clearances. I know a number of people that are very active in the lifestyle and have some of the higher clearences offered. As long as you are completely up front with the interviewer about what it is that you do, it will be fine. All they are looking for is if you are not telling them the truth or if you ahve something you can be blackmailed against. That said I would be cautious if you work for a school system or as a daycare provider or something. It will not prevent your ability to be active in a community, it just means you need to excercise caution and not be too visable. Any events that I have ever been to that have photography or anything of that nature always, very strictly, require waivers of consent from anyone that will be in a photograph. So honestly I don't think is anything you need to worry too much about as long as you are not discussing it at work. The biggest issue I have seen there is people that discuss it via work email, or even worse disucss play on the phones or instant messengers at work. Your IT department can read what you write. So yet again it is just using common sense and a bit of discrection, but just like anyone else your sex life should not mingle with your job. Your co-workers don't want to know your bedroom habits and you don't want to know theirs.
