I see a lot of female subs and slaves advertising from Accra in Ghana and also in Nigeria but something about their ads never rings true. Either the photos look like professional models or there are no BDSM topics listed in their interests or sometimes even in their profile text. They can't ALL be cons and shams, can they?

if ever you ask the question, should I be wary...then you should be.

everything has a cost, anything that looks too good to be true probably is.

and yeah every single one can be a scam, there are bots by the jillons and there are factories of net-grifters out in the world..don't fret about it all, some of them work on madison avenue...it is just part of the reality of life as long as you don't trust too much you'll be alright.

I do not know about all of them, yet the ones that I checked out were all scams. Either wanting money sent to them for airfare, food for some reason they "lost" their money. "sell diamonds" for my family, send me money to help my sick mother, I am a model stuck here and they owe me money,my bank will not cash a check,my Uncle is owed money from others in the US,,,,,
Same old crap....
Also have to watch where their profile says they are from. One claimed to be from Indiana,,yet she claimed she was in Canada,,yet wanted money sent elsewhere....

That region is the very heart and soul of monumental scams.  Ignore it totally, or suffer the consequences.

If you just want to throw money at African people, i can give you my mailing address(money order, not checks please). i won't waste your time with tales of inheritances or sick family members...plus, you'll save on postage

Or go with Ghana...stimulate their economy...some of Ghana's football players stimulate me....but that' another story....

What is wrong with having an African princess? I sent my money off and I'm not only gonna be rich, I'm also gonna have a princess wife. You just wait and see. DeBeers is gonna have to buy all their stock from me from now on.

Think about it - do you really want to try to have a relationship with someone so far away?  If all you're looking for is conversation, and keep wary, then enjoy the conversation.  I've had a lot of scammers from other sites try to hit me up, and some of them are very skillful.  There are people that just sit in internet cafes for hours seeing how many people they can play.  They may even exchange phone numbers with you.  I was taken in by one who I had built an attachment for - until he said that the only way he could meet me the next day (something we had been planning for awhile) was if I sent him $5000.

I suggest you save yourself from the possible pain and look for someone closer to home.

Don't worry, I wasn't seriously thinking of contacting one of these idiots, I was just wondering.

I ignore ABSOLUTELY ALL ads originating within the African continent.

I also ignore ads in which the profile states that the person is "based" in Nigeria or their parents are in Nigeria.  Sooner or later, the shark will surface.

The term "419 scam" refers to so-called "advance fee" scams.  Do a Google search on the string.  The first page that comes up is the Wikipedia page.  That term also refers to a specific clause in the never-enforced penal code of Nigeria.

Nigeria is right up there with Cameroon and Indonesia as one of the most corrupt countries on the face of the earth.  If you thought Mexico was bad, well, Nigeria makes the lot of them look like plaster saints.

But I've seen horror stories on this site about ads from South Africa, too.

I wish this site had a geographic "ignore" feature.

The places you mentioned are well known for being locations for major scam jobs.
