I was thinking about this the other day.  Master is Cathloic and i am Protestant.  Now that does not affect our relationship at all because we do nor agree on everything but is close enough. We hold the same core beliefs.

My question is this for those who believe in orginiazed religon.  Did you upbringing make you believe BDSM was wrong and somhow dirty, or did it embrace all kinds of lifestyles?

I never believed it was wrong, Master brings so much joy imto my life.  I believe if we were meant to be happy and this brings us happiness how can it be wrong?

Laffs.  littleone, I was raised Catholic back in the day when Mass was still said in Latin, etc.  Believe me, I was never told diddly -sh*t about sex, never mind D/s.  We were taught that, as girls, we were 'occassions of sin' and such nonsense.

But because of the complete 'blackout' on all matters sexual, I never could figure out what the clergy were driving at, and so I did not acquire 'Catholic guilt' about sex or D/s.

Nowadays I don't belong to a parish or attend Mass regularly. If I ever again felt the need to worship with other people and join a spiritual community, most likely I'd convert to another religion.

Some part of me will always be Catholic, but since the Church has taken political views on matters I think it should leave to the secular commnity -- and I mostly disagree -- I doubt I'd ever feel at home in a Catholic Church again.

I plead the fifth on behalf of the entire Nordic population. [:D]

P.S.: There is no reason at all why there's an odd set of Nordic genes in the areas where the Varangian Guard stayed. [;)]

Health,

littleone35,  this one hit too close to home for me!  i am  lost without my religion as i am without this lifestyle, and other things in my life that i will be changing.

On your questions its something only you can deside.  The bible stresses,  joy, kindness, mercy, humlility, charity and more .

A good bible to get that helped me is the rainbow bible.  Its easy to understand and is color coded  to find fast refrences.   Remember where two or more are gathered is a church :)  God does not want us unhappy!

Methodist or United Churches may be good for you... Good luck
lass
