Arriving today, sometime, are two sets of Musashi hand forged Japanese swords.  One black, one white.

Now, since I have already appropriated all the shelf space in the living room and den for my collection of wooden ships, I am left with shelves in the home office (presently occupied with my sister's porcelain doll collection, the spare bedroom, or my room.

Now if they end up in my room, some rearranging of books, figurines, statues, and a stereo would be involved.

can you hang them on a wall?

The Buddah said:  "The world, indeed, is like a dream and the treasures of the world are an alluring mirage! Like the apparent distances in a picture, things have no reality in themselves, but they are like heat haze.

If you wish to reach enlightenment, you will worry less about your possessions.

What enlightenment?

Who said anything about enlightenment?  I am a night creature, so light and me do not get along too well.[sm=evil.gif]

Reenact your chemistry goof...whatever falls off the shelves first stays off. Put the swords in their place.

It was not a goof, it was a slight miscalculation on the strength of the reaction of the compound to extreme environmental change, i.e the addition of heat.

Thanks, I am seriously considering a purchase in the future of another handmade set with 4000 folds, for just over 3k.

Or possibly a basket hilt claymore... not sure which.

I always thought the stand was optional I hung mine to either side of the Livingroom entrance. Like lighting fixtures the accented the walls nicely.
