Another vote for "did the right thing".

And a second for the poster who said she's prone to worrying about you if you have to ask.

If someone approaches me respectfully, I'm more than happy to return the compliment, but I reserve the right to treat fools the way they deserve. It's possible you're a little new to Collarme, but time-wasters like this are a hazard of all dating sites.

I actually wish there was a filter for the letters "r" and "u". I would send any messages with them as standalone words straight into the bin.

i would have done something similar, thought i would have been much less polite.. It sounds like a troll & i doubt you missed out on anything.
It's my firm opinion that anybody who puts that little effort into an initial contact can't be that serious.. i figure you just saved yourself some time [:)]

I'd like to thank every one for their thoughtful and helpful replies. I really didn't expect all this, from expressing a bit of confusion and discontent to the world. It really changes my complete outlook on the situation.  Maybe the most important thing gained here is knowing their are real people out their, and I definitely feel more open to discuss  topics like this in the future.

Curious;
talk to people on-line until you are comfortable chatting with them. Chat with them until you are comfortable holding phone convo's. Talk on the phone until you either feel a serious connection, or you don't, or you feel that you need a face to face meeting.
Take your time, and keep listening to that inner voice.

If you need to ask this question I'd suggest you open a new thread titled "Tell George What To Do Today" and that you keep all the posts in there and that you check with us before you do anything. Anything at all. You are not bright enough to live your own life; get our help on everything.
