Napping is so much fun.

I was so good at it I was even able to nap during class without getting caught.

But my beloved nap has turned into an evil monkey.

Even a 30 minute nap is enough to disturb my sleep and keep me up all night -- talk about excessive punishments!

I tend to fall asleep and nap during all the good shows. I think 'I'll just close my eyes; I can still listen to the show' and the next time I wake up, the local news is playing.

I'm the darling of the telemarketing industry, and they have some special power that allow them to detect the onset of a nap.

Oddly, I do not want to listen to a recorded sales pitch about a warranty for my 1995 Buick, and I have an unlisted phone number, yet they are impossible to deter.

Once in a great while, when the phone rings while I'm napping, it turns out to be a friend. They must all think I've taken up drinking -- they tell me I sound drunky, LOL. I'm not sure everyone's buying the 'nap' story.

So my beloved friend, the nap, has grown evil and nasty.

Anyone else finding naps an evil monkey?

During the school year when I'm working and studying, I find myself falling asleep ten minutes into a movie. Almost as soon as I sit down anywhere I can fall asleep and it doesn't even affect me. During the summer though it's a whole other story. Even without a nap I usually can't fall asleep until 1 or 2 anyways, and a nap really does become an evil thing.

i normally don't nap but when i do i'm out for two or three hours at a time. i'm at the point where i can nap through live dj sessions.

I have the amazing ability to power nap. 10-15 min for me and I am good to go as if Id slept for hours. It doesnt usually bother my sleep if I take a short nap, but if I sleep anytime past 6pm, im sunk.

Right now i'm listening to Hubby snore in His chair. It never fails, start a movie and 5 minutes later He is asleep. We have to record every movie because it takes Him about 5-6 tries to watch the whole thing. Since He sleeps so much in His chair He has trouble sleeping at night so reads most of the night and the cycle continues. The good part is that it gives me time to play my pogo games.

I love naps. I was typically kept sleep deprived in my former marriage and wasn't allowed naps, and I'm still trying to remedy my resulting eratic sleep patterns, but I do nap now, when I can. I only started napping last year. Naps were traumatic when I was a little one because I would be tied down so I would stay in place until Mom decided it was time to get up. So I'm learning to nap, and learning to sleep.

Still, I leave my phone on so I can always be available should Mr. Wonderful call. But I am extremely selective about when I answer the phone. I have Caller ID and I'm not much of a phone gabber, so I rarely answer the phone. Plus, with as busy as my Master keeps me, there just isn't time for phone gabbing, and he has restricted my phone time as a result. I don't answer "Private" or "No Caller ID" calls. If you can't unblock your phone so I know it's you calling, then you don't get to talk to me. So if I'm napping and someone besides him calls, it goes to voicemail and I'll listen to the message later.

It is annoying, though, when I finally do fall asleep, for the phone to ring and wake me. But that probably has more to do with my sleep issues than anything else.
