Is there such a thing as professional training available?

Ideally I would like a facility that is not local, remote and has a staff of qualified people to properly train me in the ways of submission.

Find a pro domme that you get along with?

Try Eros.com, or Maxfisch.com to find them in your area.

Thanks for the response about looking locally.

I'm specifically looking for something that is NOT local.  I don't want to be near my comfort zone.

So online domination?

Or.. you want to travel?

Both of those sites are international- so they will work.. unless you are looking for something completely off the wall.

I'm honestly not trying to be rude -- the original posting stated what I was looking for.

I am looking for professional training in a facility that is remote, NOT local so that I am out of my comfort zone and has qualified people for the training.

If anyone on these boards has suggestions and/or experience with a facility like this, I'd welcome the feedback!

You're a professional fetish model.  I would think your contacts through your work would have more information on training academies than the majority of people on Collarme.

I personally never felt the need for formal training.  Sir only had to tell me how he liked his coffee prepared once.  He likes his spaghetti soggy, not al dente.  He likes Miracle Whip on his toasted cheese sandwich.  My point is...what do you think a training academy for submissives is going to teach you?

I'm an aspiring fetish model.  I'm still working on the portfolio.

That's wonderful about your training with the coffee, spaghetti and sandwiches.

I'm aiming for something a bit different and as such am looking for 3rd parties to handle the training.

I think the point is, what are you hoping to learn?
It would appear that many of the doms here have their own methods and skills they are looking for, so "outside training" is not valued as much as it might be other places. Some hint of what you're hoping to learn might help others guide you.

Yes it really depends on what you want to learn- anything non kink based most definitely already has a creditable school and teaching staff you can go to (Ireland has some fabulous culinary schools).

I think, and do correct me if I'm wrong, OP, that what the OP is looking for is something like The Training of O website.  Basically subs get taught generic things, like how to take a whipping, how to do anal, how to be in certain bondage positions.  Not something that will tailor her to a specific Dom/Master for ownership (like how he takes his coffee/likes the pillows fluffed).

Now, I'm not exactly sure where you'd go for that, especially not Stateside, but, there's a Washingtom Leather Family (Tanio? jeepers I might have made that up) that runs camps, not sure if there's one for subs, or, really anything at all, this is one of those random bits of half remembered information I might be getting all wrong.

Does that help any?

Are you trying to learn skills like bondage, whipping, infibulation and things like that?  If so, I'd think any of the regional conferences and get-togethers that happen all over the country would have classes you could use.  Most of the websites give a list of both the classes and the presenters so you can judge which are useful to you.

If, on the other hand, you want to be spanked, whipped, tied up and generally played with, some of the better prodoms would be the route I'd recommend.

What about Butchman's Academy in Arizona? Or do they not take single females?

You may want to try a conference and attend workshops  http://www.masterslaveconference.org/index.html
the same page also has a link to Master Taino's Training Academy http://masterslavetraining.org/femaleslaveprogram.htm

I would highly recommend Master Taino's Training Academy.

Or, if you feel that this may be a spiritual calling for you, the Butchmanns Academy.

Butchmanns does not require that you come a part of a couple. There are pan, men's and women's weekends to choose from, too.

VelvetVise, the only 'proper form of submission' is the one that suits you and if collared, your Dom.  No 'one true way' exists and getting involved with a group that expects payment for 'teaching you to be submissive' seems a bit dangerous to me.  I've heard some horror stories -- though of course they could all be fantasises --  but why pay someone to 'discover' what only you can learn -- your own heart.

It probably would be good to think about WHAT exactly you want to be trained for...

Butchman's and Taino's are great places, there are also classes and retreats offered here .. http://bdsmclasses.com/

All three are great options and certainly worth the effort...

Sounds like the op is looking for something you'd find on literotica.

"As she crested the hill, she bore witness to all of the 30224 acres this glorious mansion overlooked. Looking down into the valley from the carriage window, she felt butterflies in her stomach and moisture between her legs. She felt her excitement increase as the carriage passed a sign reading: MasterLordDarkness' Abode for Women Who Don't Serve Good but Wanna Learn and get Whipped and Stuff Too..."

just couldn't resist. Best of luck.

Wait!
Lindsay Lohan's a fetish model now??

I am suspicious!!!

No really. If you are going to be a fetish model, be a fetish model. If you are going to be a fake fetish model, don't use a decently well known celebrity as your 'Portfolio'

I have suspicions on your claim to femininity as well now.

*Googles 'Lindsay Lohan Red Hair' and hits the image button.... I really must be bored today*
