chickpea -> Your crazy online friend... LOL (6/29/2008 8:58:59 PM)

I had an online friend that I kept in touch with (out of pity) for 5 years.  He even claimed that he was my first Master.  *Double LOL*  Anyway, his strange behavior is starting to disturb me, and I suppose it would've been easier to gauge had we known each other RL and I could look him in the eyes, and see what he's really about.

Anyone ever suspect their online friend to be crazy?  Thoughts, details?   Thanks!

At least half of the people that post on this message board are.  Does that count?

-- man oh man.  I lived crazy.  One day maybe I can tell all. For now- best to leave it -where it is.  forgotten.  :-)

I'm crazy, and also online. Does this help in any way?

I cut off contact with a girl that has some serious emotional issues (after explaining specifically what bothered me and telling her that I was not going to respond to her any more).

The problem is  that she knows my real name from a website we both belonged to (for a professional organization) and now she's cyberstalking me and has been for three years now. It's creepy.

She never says much - I get the occasional "Oh, so you're not going to talk to me, huh? You know, this really hurts!" e-mail (when I block her address, she creates a new one) and she leaves her name in my guestbooks when she finds me elsewhere, not saying anything but letting me know that this weirdo game of cat and mouse is still going on. I shut down my affiliation at a few professional sites because of her.

The kicker is that we never met in person. Yeah. She's crazy.

definitely, quite aweful when it becomes a game.... especially when you want no part in the game, and they want to continue it especially if it's an unwilling participant.  I know what you mean... very frustrating.

yeah, there's one guy that was really stalking me, this is in real life.  he called me once, and then was describing the person that I was walking behind.  THAT was really creepy.  So the more I stayed calm and kind of laughed it off casually, the more he tried to get under my skin.  It was like he was trying to make me react and be as crazy as him.

Crazy, needy, emotional vampires exist online and in real life.
I used to think I might make a difference by riding in on huge white horse as I spouted common sense.
But these people love DRAMA!
Best thing I've done for Me is to become extremely selective.

edited due to thinking faster then i type.

It may just be me but I'd prefer crazy to be online rather than in person.  In person they would take up way too much of my valuable time.

Although I do and have known several crazies online.  Biggest is a Kennedy..yes, you heard me right.

I have this amazing capacity to attract Doms who are actualkly switches but if they are honest they are submissives ... I find them everywhere I go .. its why I had to send off to the states for DV ... in my kung fu truned Him subbie

they usually claim they are in love with me... that I am a cruel and heartless bitch for not returning their affections ...and some even go to the lengths of warning my friends to "stay away from her she is dangerous" when we bump into eachother at events

other than that ... I have serious concerns about Missturbation
