Yea for the other alleged imaginary couple!!! Who's really not that far from us - we're next to the Falls, FS.....

Congrats on your upcoming handfasting! [sm=cute.gif][sm=candles.gif][sm=cute.gif]

thank you! it's still at least a year away at the absolute earliest but i'm at that point now where it's sinking in that i need to things like you know plan. or maybe not if we're imaginary. at that point i could just make crap up as i go along.

Fluffy, if you look in a mirror and see no reflection, you don't exist.

But, if you need a score card, I'll get one started for you.  [sm=writing.gif]

fluffyswitch -> RE: What's the Payoff? What's the Cost? (6/30/2008 7:13:50 PM)

what if the mirror doesn't exist? what if like the techno-sociologist guy on history was talking about, we're all just a computer program?

i think you might need that scorecard here soon...if He ever resurfaces again. apparently He took Himself on vacation for the past little bit. He does that sometimes.

So THAT'S the problem. All along I've been thinking I might have put the mirror glass in backwards. That explains everything.

Thanks DRH!

:-)

whatever!  if you look in the mirror and see nothing it means you're a vampire!  geesh, do i have to tell you guys everything?

um, does that mean we're all vampires?

thishereboi -> RE: What's te Payoff? What's the Cost? (6/30/2008 7:51:38 PM)

I'm not sure what your upset about. Is it that other people are making friends on here? Isn't that the point of CM? Are you mad because they are meeting in r/l and your not? Why shouldn't they talk about it? Maybe I am missing your point, but it sounds like your feeling left out.

OOOH you forgot to say that WE KNOW EACH OTHER!!  Yes, it's TRUE!!  Bwahahahaha!

Maybe there is a clique after all!  Of course, it's probably only the two of us...[8|]

WyldHrt -> RE: What's te Payoff? What's the Cost? (6/30/2008 8:13:28 PM)

Funny. I've been here for about a month, and haven't noticed cliquey behaviour here, just people who are friends. Coming from a board that is actually cliquey, I was pleasantly surprised at how many people here are willing to joke around with and befriend a n00b. I've had a lot of fun both on the board and in cmail with folks from the forums. I also love reading about the R/L meetings and hope to meet some of the great folks here at some point.

That said, my approach to new communities (online and off) may differ from yours. I tend to lurk a bit before jumping in, and then try to get a feel for the board/community. I haven't yet started a thread, as I prefer to read and contribute for now. When disagreeing, I try to do so without pissing off the person I disagree with. In short, I try to respect the community and see where I fit in.
But that's just me, YMMV.

Virtual beings or vampires, it's all good to me. At least that's a better explanation than I might have been an idiot and installed the glass backwards.

:-)
