My guess is that it was symbolic that you were more fully under His control.

I know that it is hard to stop a session to ask questions, and you can either forget about it by the end or be so overwhelmed with other sensations that you don't think of it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions here; just remember that some things have a very personalized nature so we may not have the correct guesses.

Unclaimedsub, a NON-play collar has a specfic meaning. A play collar means what He and you decide it means. Including its tightness.

I would retype chamberqueen's answer, verbatim, but I'm feeling too lazy so I quoted it instead. It seems as though that is what he was intending, but who knows? It's ok to ask questions - it's not un-submissive to get clarification for something you don't know.

O Rly? Collarme is not the only place you will find sarcasm on the interwebs... learn to laugh with it or ignore it and your visit will be much better. As for your question, I would assume the issue had to do with control however without hearing more about the differences between play this time and play in the past it would be imposable for anyone here to answer the question. I would speak to your top and find out what they mean.

Other way around IMO.
A play collar specifically means submission is only for the duration of the scene.
A nonplay collar needs to have expectations made explicit, not implicit which requires negotiation and communication. Meaning that the areas you submit are determined by what you and he decide.
