Personally I would have resentment if he decided to punish me much more severely than an offense merited simply because he rolled dice. But punishment to me is emotionally very painful and should be something the dom merits out accordingly taking into account the sub's emotional state. If he did something because a random number generator said to do it, without caring about my condition either physical or emotional, I would lose trust.
Now if you're talking about play punishments, naughty schoolgirl caught pitching pennies in the hallway and taught not to gamble by using a gambling game for example, then I'm all for it.
