You haven't been reading all my posts candy. I have stated a few times that anyone can read these posts, and in that context it was pretty much to explain why the rules here are the way they are. A while back someone posted about smearing whipped cream or peanut butter all over her body and having the dog lick it off. I went to respond to the post and I was going to say "And I thought I pushed the envelope". The post was gone before I hit OK. Somewhere when you first log on there is a place where it says "__ registered uers and __ guests". There do seem to be alot of guests sometimes so I think we might be read by more people than just members (than we think). Whether or not we are swaying their opinions is a whole different barrell of apples. I think there are alot of intelligent opinions expressed here and it is quite possible that we have given some a pause, made a few reflect, and possibly even think something out that they hadn't before. But it is still a small percentage. We will never have the impact of mass media. However, having mentioned Google search, I could give you search terms that would yield links to pictures of me wearing a bondage device. This was on a different forum, alot more private and limited in scope, and these picture were not meant for public viewing, only members of that forum. But Google found them. But one needs to have just a basic understanding of how Google works. Google knows everything because Google remembers everything. For example I just posted about castle law. Now if you search for castle law, there are many many results. Finding my thread on that subject here may or may not return that CM post, and if it does, it will be on page 942 or something like that. If you were to Google for collarchat castle law, it would probably come up on the first page, of very few results. The next time you search simply for castle law, that post might be moved up to page 300 or so. Every time you do a search like collarchat castle law it brings it more to the top of the list. But here's the thing, do we want to do that ? If we were to perform multiple Google searches say every day, like 100 of us, for collarchat castle law, in time it would start showing up higher and higher on the list. However we are in competition at that point with just about any other major forum, or blog for that matter. So, after you associate the terms in a search string, Google remembers. Then Google will do the associating. It is automatic, and is truly a kickass program that they run. It is very adaptive and could even be called intuitive. I wish there were an avenue somehow by which I could talk to the people who invented it. And don't go crazy telling me how other search engines can be just as good, most of them use Google. Their software simply puts the search to Google and reformats and displays the results. Yes, there is other software out there, but the Google software has proven itself. Many searches do this, they just pass on results, slightly reformatted. You can see in many of them a banner all the way at the bottom or something that says "Powered by Google". Look for it. So it boils down like this. Take a text editor, type in the Google window 'collarchat.com public opinion affect effect'. You might only get one result. But by associating the terms you make the thread alot more searchable in the future, as Google will adapt. If enough searches are performed it will start finding it without the collarchat.com being included. Want to be in the public eye ? How many people do we want perusing posts about our personal, sometimes embarrassing problems ? How many people do we want to know just how radical I am ? Your choice. Do the searches, bombard them if you want and bring this forum up to the first page, if you want to. Nobody can stop you you know. But remember this, once it is done it is done. You can't undo it. T
