Actually, Rush got mindshare because he used to GIVE AWAY the show for free. Free, Fills Airtime, and whatever ads we sell are gravy. Not a bad way to jumpstart a gig, especially given Rush's track record of business incompetence. He tells Loyal Bushies what they wanna hear. But he ain't no Howard Stern, and never will be.

Real information????????????????????? Talk radio is not The News, if anyone insists on deluding themself with the idea that news and commentary are the same thing then all hope is lost for them. Commentary is spin, it's all that commentary ever has been, just as Editorial Opinion pieces in printed media is not news but rather commentary. While I hope for and expect news to have a certain level of journalistic ballance, I don't expect commentary to be fair and ballanced.

Howard Stern has always beat Rush`s show in every demographic and in audience share. No one beats Stern in talk radio. He`s funny,politically moderate and invented the term "shmega dildos"..... A brilliant man......

O59, did you want examples of liberals telling lies? Hillary's sniper, Bill's blowjob that he didn't get, a certain ex VP who created the internet .... my point was that both sides do it. Those that blame only one side for lying are lying to themselves. If left wingers could get more entertaining spin artists to compete with Rush and Co, they could easily take him off the air. Believe it or not, I would love to see it happen. Then, he would have to get a new schtick together or retire. And I would rather listen to Howard Sterns myself. Maybe he should become the new spokesman for the left.

I think he's talking about how Stern features lesbians on his show, routinely, and it always plays well with his audiences. Stern kids a bit when he says things like "lesbians equal ratings", but knows it doesn't hurt, either.
