Ehh...we didn't save her life. We are getting her from a no-kill shelter. But the lady we met today did. She found her. Probably at the humane society here in town. She said there was something about her. I am haunted by all the others we met today.

Our local humane society may close down, lack of funds. They said they need about fifty grand in donations per month to operate, and the last few months, have only been averaging 15.

blushes, You gave her a shot at a great life....no kills are great, but they aren't a replacement for a truly loving home. She'll be taking over the bed, couch, shelf space....heck, the whole house in a very short time! Everytime I went to the humane society at home, our whole family buys their food there as they keep the profits, it would break my heart to see all those little kitties and dogs just begging for a home. I'd take each and every one of them if I could!

cats don't need to be full grown anymore - my female was spayed at 9 weeks, and her brother was neutered even earlier during a hernia repair - probably around 6 weeks of age. With the advances in microsurgery techniques they can get to those itty bitty parts much earlier. btw ......... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I miss having pets. Gonna have to go do some puppy in law therapy soon. Fox has more dogs in the family than he knows what to do with, so I can go play with them when I visit.

We did have fun. If you would like to give a donation, please give it in honor of His claytie (beast), who died about 5 months ago. He was mean. Beautiful. Funny. Loving. And sweet. And he knew it. HM adopted him 17 years ago from the place we are adopting our new sweetie (who doesn't have a life-long name yet) or in honor of Camille's dog, who, from her/his pics, seemed the essence of sweetness.
