Even the most laid back person will get angry sometimes. And just because someone is angry doesn't mean he's going to turn into a mass murderer. There's a difference between being angry and needing anger management.

See, we all know this, but no one's supposed to admit it.

Part of being one of the "cool kids" is pretending that you don't have those issues, would never act on them if you did, and the people who do are horrible no-good shits. And then you do it anyways, where no one can see - and subtly brag about it later to everyone else, without anyone talking about what you're actually doing.

Oh, I'm in sh*t shape, then. I've never hidden that I can be a grade-A, out-and-out b*tch if you get me going. It takes a while to get me going, but if I get mad, I'm Irish and Sicilian -- think Vesuvius (not technically in Sicily, but it is the nearest volcano). I wouldn't demand a particular servant deal with my mood by giving me the right to vent my frustrations on them, but if one of my servants is so inclined to let me vent in their direction, I'm certainly not an idiot, and will graciously accept that service.

Oh, and for those who didn't understand the first post I made on this, when I offered myself to my Chief, it became a negotiated practice. In the same way, if it were one of my servants doing the offering, it would be negotiated -- I'm not going to lash out willy-nilly. If I need to vent, I'll make use of it -before- it gets to my explosion point. Once I've vented to a point where I'm productive, I'll deal with the cause of my frustration, and make sure that it is resolved. This isn't an un-planned, violent abuse -- it is a gift to be able to appease an angry person's ill humor, and I, for one, recognize both my interest in having such if it were offered, and in protecting the source of that offer.

Stress Relief = Using suitable ways and means to relieve one's self of stress (Mental, emotial and/or physical). I may include long walks, heavy physical excercise, punching a leather bag or wodden board, beating the crap out of a pell with suitable sword, burying head in pillow and screaning/bellowing. Shooting thre shit out of man sized targets on a combat range. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF ANOTHER HUMAN NO MATTER WHAT!

Anger Management = Like most forms of counseloling being halped to work through the anger, identifying the causation and trigers and putting in place alternative non violent methods of dealing with and defusing the situation.

If you can give me a good reason why not, provided that it is a consentual agreement, I may have to reconsider my position.Otherwise, I will, from personal experience, agree only to disagree with you on this, IB.

IB, we're not talking about beating the crap out of someone so they need hospitalization. We're talking a nonedge session here of the kind you might do any day. Not longer and harder actually, one where the top is in control and does something physical that he enjoys doing, which just happens to be done when he's in a bad mood to begin with. Not to end with.

There are days when I don't feel happy and don't want to go for a walk but he drags me out and I feel better afterwards. Same thing here, controlled physical release but instead of a stairmaster the piece of equipment is a flogger. Just because someone needs to vent physically doesn't mean they suddenly think it's all right to target the kidneys.

Obviously this requires a top without rage issues who knows what he's doing the rest of the time. Just because I'm foul tempered doesn't mean I will suddenly forget how to cook dinner when I get home and need to feed the family, nor that my anger means I shouldn't be allowed to use a sharp knife. I know when I am and am not in control, and I for one wouldn't be with anyone lacking that amount of self awareness. YMMV
