OscarHargraves -> Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 8:19:06 AM)

I was just reading the thread about 'shaved vs. unshaved' and had a thought.

How many of you ladies out there have done (or considered doing) the new process to have your unwanted hair removed? All I know about it is what the ads say. It's supposed to be quick, easy and painless. It's supposed to be done with light (lazer?) and it's permanent.

My Sub has talked about this and I've wondered if it was worthwhile and what kind of results others have had. Unfortunately you can't go to the doctor and ask for a list of his/her patients that have had their pubic hair removed as references so I thought I'd ask here. Does anyone know any more about this? All info would be appreciated.

siamsa24 -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 8:21:58 AM)

I haven't done it or talked to anyone who has, but I think I read about it, although I could be wrong.....
I will try to find the article to figure out exactly what the article is about, but in the meantime, here is what I read:

That it is not quick and not painless. It takes several visits (up to 14 or more) each several hours and it feels as though your skin is burning while they are doing it. Not real bad burning, but like a bad sunburn.

I assume you mean the laser surgery?

Here are all the links on past discussions, some of which I know discuss this process.

It was a matter of time. Laser would be nice. It does require more than a few visits though.

ErosPsyche -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 8:44:19 AM)

Psyche will be having it done, prolly begining of the year. I want her cunt little-girl smooth for me all the time. She hsaves for me, but gets a lot of irritation.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 11:10:11 AM)

Laser is COSTLY, painful, and takes multiple visits. The results are beautiful, though.

IronBear -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 11:16:14 AM)

Grins and waves the cut throat razor and strops it carefully singing:

"A plucking we will go,
A plucking we will go,
Hi ho the merrio,
A plucking we will go."

Quick, easy, painless???? For some reason i am thinking NOT!! But it would not matter, as long as it is permanent...it's for ME! I don't know about anyone else...but i shave every day, and it is a PAIN in the BUTT. Sounds like this is something that would really simplify things for me. Thanks for the info.

I did this once. 3 hour session and I cleared about 2 square inches. she loved it, but her regular waxer told her never to let me do that again to her (ROLFLMAO). her waxer had a lot of lancing to do a few weeks later :-) Plucking causes the hair to break unevenly (kind of like using an electric razor) which causes ingrowns much more frequently than using a blade.

So if you are serious about this I'd recommend strips and gunk. Being untrained I can pretty much guarantee you're gonna cause all sorts of pain.

If you want to go big, let it grow in for 4-6 weeks and then yank as much off in one pull as you can. I haven't tried this (yet muwahaa) but I heard about a guy who attended the "In the Woods" last year - his sub screamed so loud she finally (and eventually) passed out. BDSM urban legend? Only one way to find out....

Thanks to all for the replies. Sounds like I need to investigate this further.

LadyH, you say it is costly and painful. Is that first-hand knowledge? Do you know someone who has actually done this?

The ad on the billboard in ABQ says, "No more razors! Let us remove that unsightly hair permanently with our new Lazer!" and gives a phone number. (Yes, I spelled it exactly as they did on the ad, I think it's a play on 'razor'.) I know it's about having women's moustache removed and things like that but I'll get Kari to call and ask about the more private parts and what it costs.

Thanks again to all. Oh, and beware of large bears with tweezers........

OscarHargraves -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 12:39:30 PM)

Thanks for the links LuckyA. I read thru them but there's not much hard info there about costs etc. There also didn't appear to be anyone who had first-hand knowledge of the process. When I get the info I'll do another post here and brief everyone on what I found out.

hislady -> RE: Pubic hair thread number two...... (11/10/2005 12:47:19 PM)

I can atest to the ouch factor using the gunk and stips. I did a small portion of my leg and started to get worried because the stuff just wasn't pulling out the hair. Later talking to a Master friend of ours wel learned that you have to keep the stuff warm enough for it to work. Needless to say when I thought of me having to pull off that strip in my nether regions i was like ... i'm not going to be able to pull it off. LOL My friends Master is very skilled at this and I think I've got Master to consider him doing it the first time so that he can learn and I can keep my skin LOL I do wish to have the lazer done one day as well..........simply nicole[:)]

I have used the Nair waxing strips many times on the pubes. It hurt like a bitch the first time, but each time got a little easier. It does an okay job, hair grows back in 2-3 weeks. I was hoping it would be more permanent.

What I don't like about them is that the "wax" is really sticky, clean up is a little annoying. They do give you a little bottle of light oil to help take it off, but it's still a little bothersome.

The price is relatively cheap, though, about $6 or $7 (East Coast) for a box of them, and I got about 3 uses per box. So, for the price, if you're on a budget, it's an okay deal with pretty good results.

If you go to wax, I cannot recommend strongly enough going to a pro. Completely worth it.

Well, one, I am on a budget, and two, I'm kinda funky about the idea of someone I don't know "down there", lol.

The idea has intrigued me, though..... Maybe someday[8|]

I understand the budget, that's why I rarely get it done either. But if you're going to do it, then do it pro.

As far as scruples, trust me, you are the only person who will care. The person has done this many times before and could care less. In fact, they are likely to be very sensitive to your worries, knowing that many people have that issue.

Midear L.-

I have often in the past waxed my partners (after we had parted, one rather bitterly compalianed that "it really Sucks without Restraints!"<eg>) and I have sent out some of the work from time to time...

I bet I'd change your mind about having done by a pro...

I have repeat laser surgery appointments for a tattoo removal. It doesn't feel like a sunburn. It feels like someone burning a cigarette in your skin. It hurts like a mofo. Thank goodness I have very good pain management skills.

As for hair, I am so not hairy it's not worth it. Some people here say it is and I'm sure if that's what you want, then in the end, you'll gain for your pain.

Lawrence!

One needs to be part sadist and part masochist to do self-waxing. Trust me ;)
