Status: offline 		I've never waxed, and I've never had laser surgery. I've only ever shaved and Naired. Honestly, I don't remember what my pubic hair looks like. I've been clean shaven since I was fifteen. However, do beware of Nair (they could use that as an anti-slogan). I had a bad experience with it once. Let's just say that depilatories don't go on your genitals. (Duh.) Also, one time I Naired my legs evenly, both within 30 seconds of each other. During my attempts at deforestation, it removed hair beautifully from one leg, and absolutely no hair was removed from the other. Beauty and the Beast if you will. I was in a rush, so one leg was smooth and wonderful while the other leg resembled Bigfoot... and both smelled like perming solution. Yummy. Only true love could put up with that.

Status: offline 		i have shaved. i have waxed. and i have had the laser hair removal done. (different parts of my body.) (and believe it or not ... i'm not a masochist!) i have a home waxing kit and am very good at using it. feel free to email me if you have questions about that. if you plan on taking your girl for laser hair removal ... i cannot stress this enough!! ... go to a dermatologist. not a clinic. not a spa. not a salon. a dermatologist. i have heard horror stories! one girl was so badly burned that it took weeks (or months .. i don't remember exactly) to heal. one girl i heard about actually died because of complications. laser is indeed quick. for example ... both of my underarms took all of about 4 minutes. it does hurt. a lot! the cigarette analogy was accurate. but once it's done it doesn't hurt any more. and it will most likely take a few visits.

Next time, send the hairy ones to me, I hasve a mate who was a gun shearer and he could shear him with hand shearers just like a sheep. Make the waxing easier too.

Status: offline 		My boss had her bikini area "done" last year (TMI was my main thought..lol). i don't know what it cost, but judging from the way she moved for most of the day after a session, not to mention the sounds coming out of her office, it wasn't exactly painful..lol.

To each their own, i guess.

Status: offline 		i was told by my beautician lazer only works on people with dark hair..so im not a candidate for it..i would go for it if i could.
i go between shaving/waxing and plucking..i like plucking the best, it leaves a much smoother surface.

Status: offline 		I don't want to chap anyones hide here, but as a "pro" I feel the need to mention that if waxing is not done properly, meaning pulling the strips off in the correct direction relating to the origin and insertion of the muscle, you can do permanent muscle/deep tissue damage. dangly bits anyone? No, really, really dangly bits. ICK. Be careful! better yet...go to a pro!

Are you sure about the electric vs blade comment? My research and experience has been exactly the opposite, that is, that electric shavers are much less likely to cause ingrown hairs than manual blade razors.

my friend got the laser hair removal deal done on some facial hair. i went with her one time... as far as the 'quick, easy and painless'... she had a number of trips, i suppose it was easy enough for her being as she just laid there... and it didnt seem like it was very painful, but the laser was zapping the hair away, so it did sting some.

I definately wouldnt have the tolerance to have that kind of thing done on any private area... i tried waxing my legs with a home roll on wax kit thingie... you're suppose to just be able to roll it on, lay the strips down and rip it off in a few minutes... didnt do a thing but make my leg sticky... i just stick to shaving everything. i cant afford to go somewhere to get waxed and never have any luck doing it myself..

well, that was my two cents..
