Ewww... You can throw 'little one' in the bin with 'girl' and 'sweetheart'

OMG yes...I mean just who could stand such condescending belligerence. Thing is...to some dirty old men around here, you are a girl while still being allowed to be all woman.

Yes, to address you as sweetheart would need be earned from this stranger. Afterall, I wouldn't really know anything of the kind...now would I ?

Does your supposition lay in the fact you believe we are contacting them first?  I am only 5'2" and clearly that might be thought of as little, but I dislike strangers calling me little one.  Why?  Because while it is cute and affectionate from someone I am fucking, it is a name that strangers often use to put you in a mindset of little girl.  That would not be a man I am likely to invite to chat, and/or have lunch with.

i would be furious for him calling me little one... god...so degrading.

and not even his sub yet either...

I am curious. How is it that you would be furious over what is clearly a benign term of affection (degrading ?) by anybody let alone somebody with whom you (in this case) might invite to chat and as a possible 'munch mate ?'

Oh fuck.

I need to go and re-write my life - I use "girl" and "kid" and "young lady" and I've probably used "little one" sometime.  [:(]

Bear in mind I'm about 4 times older than most girls (see - "than most ladies" sounds silly, "than most women" sounds awful) and I mean it in a friendly, sometimes affectionate, way not condescendingly.

But I hadn't realised it's so offensive to so many. Sheesh, the number of times I must have pissed off chaps I thought of as friends! (I use "chaps" too for both hims and hers).

So what do I use instead?  Help!

(Though I happen to like it when He does it!) [:D]

This is not news.

I have got away with it so far even tho I have (unwittingly) been deeply offensive.

Think how successful a dirty old man I could be if I get the nomenclature right! Hope is all I have, so get helping kid!

The only time I ever guffawed at a "term of endearment" from a dominant was when he called me "child" ... As in, "dear child, you have only to surrender yourself to MY will ..."

I'm at a crossroads. I don't know whether to laugh or to be creeped out a little bit. Guess I'll do both.

About terms of endearment in general, I like terms of endearment usually, unless they're meant in a derogatory way; and I don't mind strangers using those terms. I do not, however, like strangers giving me orders or acting as though I am in their service. Very presumptuous and rude.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh good grief! Why would they do that rather than issue one themselves?

Having plenty of terrible experiences with CM, i have to say, it is also possible that chat only works for him if you invite, and that his invite does not work. cm tends to have that kind of problems.
However, that said - it would seem that, in that case, he would explain that to you. how about, 'I would love to chat with you - email is too slow to get a good conversational flow going, and you seem so interesting. Unfortunately, my collarme is acting weird, and won't allow me to invite. Would you please invite me.' Or: 'Unfortunately, you seem to have selected the profile option that does not allow chat invites to be sent to you. Would you please invite me?'
Oh wait, - those are both over his two word limit. I guess that's not going to work out.
