i was sitting on the porch, watching the birds and other varmits, and i got to wondering....why dont chipmunks climb trees?

i mean my dog got after a squirrel, and the squirrel ran up a tree, and proceeded to gorge its self on cherries......then he got after the chipmunk and it hid in the shrub under the tree, runnin back and forth, driving the dog insane.....

and i wondered.....why in the hell dont you use them claws and go up the tree?!?!?!?! i bet if one tried it, they would all go DAMN, we can climb trees to escape idiot dogs!

alvin would have climbed that tree i bet.

you ever wonder bout important stuff like this?

Well, from the little reading i did, they can climb trees... cant seem to find a reason why they wouldnt though.

my latest 'i wonder' thought.... Do we ever fuel our own car? We REfuel our car, but since we are not the first ones to put fuel in it, we never fuel our car. Oh, and who does the fueling? Where are they getting the gas? i dont think they can travel with fuel in them, so where does it get originally fueled?

Would that be jaywalking at gun point?

As for the chipmunks climb trees, I'd have to say I've never wondered about it. Now that you raise the issue it does seem a bit odd. But the thing that disturbs me more is that there is a rather large squirrel population in my neighborhood. As well as a large population of ravens and a not immoderate number of outdoor cats. Yet I have never in the past thirty years seen a chipmunk around here. It's probably a plot by the squirrels, ravens and other birds to make sure the poor chipmunks are bound and gagged before being tossed to hungry cats!!!

nice police occifer-lol....i gotta admit the herbal therapy helped me do my wondering.....it seemed mighty deep yesterday-today, not so much
