It isn't just a difficult and endless task here.  For those who wish to gripe about the work of our fine Moderators, here is an AP article about the issue on a web-wide basis.

        http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080706/ap_on_hi_te/tec_disappearing_freedoms

And they aren't trying to do it in a sea of admitted (Proud!) freaks and perverts.

Good article, Rich, thanks for posting it.

quote:

In Dors' case, the law is fully with Yahoo. Its terms of service, similar to those of other service providers, gives Yahoo "sole discretion to pre-screen, refuse or remove any content." Service providers aren't required to police content, but they aren't prohibited from doing so.

That's reasonable; being on someone else's website is like being in someone's living room, you can't just say anything you want.

(I actually taught Mod 11 everything she knows).

(Except for the last 8 years...and, of course; all of July 2003 and November 27th, 2006).

Gotta love the title.

I think that was nice for such a wonderful moderator.  She is one of my favorites.  Always helpful, and knows what she is doing.

Regards, MissSCD

CM has one of the best moderated boards.

B.com? It`s as if there`s no parents and the kids have taken over the house.

Kudos.

Being a Moderator is often a time consuming and thankless task.  I appreciate the good work of the CM Mods who handle the spam and flame wars.

Not only do our moderators pull threads that are in violation of the EULA (Now that I type it out, I don't recall ok'ing an end user licence agreement...) but also tend to c-mail you as to why.  Each one baked with love.

<3 you, Pro-tech Bot.
