Well, She obviously doesn't feel it was in her best interest or she wouldn't be coming back. Some Masters don't believe in "EVER" taking a Sub/ Slave back. Which I find sad. I mean, you sit down with her and discuss why you felt it was in her best interest, you hear her out as far as why she feels is isn't in her best interests. And, then, you decide what would be best. My Master released me, the main reason being that he felt he didn't have the time I needed, due to his extensive traveling, amoungst other issues on my part, posted in another thread. We eventually sat down and discussed the pro's and cons. We discussed the issues that had to be addressed and how we could, IF we could, make this relationship work. I have been pleasantly surprised by how far the two of us have come since the initial parting of the ways... it has taken work and negotiation and certain things have had to change in order to make this work, but, I have no regrets for asking him to give this one more chance, and, honestly, I have no doubt he feels the same way. In the end, while, agreed, he didn't and still doesn't have as much time as I probably need, we are making the most of the time we do have, and, he said himself that he really thought releasing me was in my best interest, but, he himself came to realize that our "road" together wasn't at a dead end, rather at a cross road. And that, he needs what I have to offer him in as much as I need what he has to offer me. I now see him alot more, he is in the process of moving closer to me so that I will be able to come to his place on a regular basis, which, for me, is HUGE !!!!!!! He is including me in his friendships and , for us, the point of " release" was the best thing that could have happened for us. I know that "releasing" me was not the answer for us. He was a big enough Master to at least hear me out, discuss his concerns with me, and vice versa. Out of it all, we have grown immeasurably. My first thought, after reading your post, was, well, if he has to ask, he isn't ready to walk away 100%. He obviously sees potential or he wouldn't even be considering the possibility. I will never forget him saying to me, "I really thought releasing you was in your best interest. I have come to realize that it wasn't in either one of our best interests. What was in our best interests was figuring out what changes needed to made to get this relationship back on the path it needs to be on, where both of our best interests are paramount."
