Is there a device that connects to the computer through a usb port, such as a little box that can lock a key inside of it, where it can notify someone online when the box is opened, or something simliar to that?

Another chastity belt enthusiast ?

There are a few.

See if timelock.it is still around, it is not a user friendly site, most likely by design.

I once search for one and never found an off the shelf one. I did design and make one for perosnal use, and the details on making it are on my site.
or click here for the info on the one i made, it works off the paralel port but one for the serial port could also be designed if needed. But i am too lazy to do the diagrams and software for a serial port one unless somone is seriously interested in making one

I really hope you have a plan B in case of hardware or software failure.

I've seen a USB port go rogue and fry any USB device plugged into it (greater than 500Ma? I guess).
A truly weird conflict with VMwares USB passthrough silently failing (whenever sierra wireless loaded its USB driver)
And an angle grinder taking so so long to grind through a metal door lock, that it went red hot and the wooden door around it charred.

Computers are getting better, but.. yeah, plan B s are good, in case they don't work the way you plan. [:D]

misterbananafish -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/10/2008 9:36:02 AM)

that is really cool...

another thought for a simple system would be to use the key to complete a circuit, a log or message being sent to your keyholder whenever the circuit is broken...

A while ago I found a link to a website that sold lockboxes specifically for chastity. They also offered "cyber mistresses" of two varieties: one cheaper web-program mistress would would unlock the box or not based on random programming, and a more expensive actual human mistress. I didn't keep the link...given that it's not of particular use to me, but someone around here might have it hidden somewhere.

ALLorNuten -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/10/2008 8:05:11 PM)

Yes. I received one for Christmas from my partner to use on her.

She doen't remember where she got it but she said she googled chastity belt and found a site on the third on so page.

If she is able to find the site again I will have her post the name here

Well here is what I would do, I would get a electric magnet that is for a gate or entry door, they make them that will hold 1200 lbs, when energised she wont be pulling the key down any time soon. I used to use one hooked up to a fire alarm incase my slave needed to get free in an emergency, kept it round all the time weather or not she was locked up. It wouldnt be hard at all to make that into a usb interface, hell if I had my workshop finished I might even offer to start building stuff like that.

Could even take it a step further and make it so as that the magnet was under plexi glass, and you dropped the key in the top, and the magnet would have to de-energise to drop it out the bottom.

misterbananafish -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/11/2008 10:29:25 AM)

is there a way you could work it so that the key is only retrievable when the magnet is energized?

i can see more than one desperate sub cutting the power to the magnet ;)

Irishm57 -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/11/2008 4:47:41 PM)

Someone mentioned what if software fails or hardware.
When you think of it in this lifestyle, what if the handcuff locks failed? or the padlocks on the wrist cuffs fail? well it is a risk, as with any bdsm play just not chastity alone. You can always drill out a lock box lock, take a sledge hammer to it to get the key. Besdies if the lock box failed you only need to get the lock box cut open not the cage of the chasisity belt. So there is no need for saws to cut it off the body
Most who seek a key holder for chasitiy know the risk of being caught in it. that is half the thrill. And probably more of a point is most don't spend 1000 on a stainless steel belt where you need a die grinder to cut it off. Most buy cb2000 or the curve which are plastic.
Anything you do in this lifestyle has some risk . And even the strongest of chasity belts can be cut off by the pros with little to no damage to the person wearing it, how ever it will cost you big time.

theres a lot to be said for putting a key in a block of ice....along  with  your credit card when the sales are on. you have to REALLY want   it  to go through  all the rigmerole.

misterbananafish -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/11/2008 9:36:06 PM)

that's not a bad idea, at all...

i'm not sure i'd ever heard of that until now...

i will have to see about trying that sometime ;)

Yeah, that wouldnt be hard at all, would require making a different style setup that is more complex, or, could just put the damn thing in an armored case with a battery backup that would run it for about 4 or 5 hours, but if the thing was de-energised you would know, because it would signal a release, and then you get to punish thier happy ass, so... is there really a problem?

if you do get that workshop setup finally, please do let me know. i could toss in some money to work on it to make it worth your time as well.

This is a little less technical than the OP asked for but might help others.http://www.ringofsteel.net/male_chastity_faq/general/how_keyholder_store_keys.htmlhttp://www.ringofsteel.net/male_chastity_faq/general/what_if_no_keyholder.html

the usb connection is not there, and that's actually the most important part of what im looking for :O

chastitech -> RE: USB Lock Box? (7/13/2008 7:49:29 PM)

Is the point of the USB so the chastity can be monitored remotely? Or do you want it to be unlockable remotely as well?

chrisea623 -> RE: USB Lock Box? (5/30/2009 2:16:22 PM)

Mykeysafe.com is a commercially available solutoin roght now.

GotSteel -> RE: USB Lock Box? (5/30/2009 10:09:54 PM)

http://www.mykeysafe.com/Purchase.asp  and because for whatever reason the adult industry is still putting out serial port products you would need an adapter such as this: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-26886-Serial-Adapter/dp/B000067RVJ/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_1
