ORIGINAL: brat4fun I was talking with my Sir this morning about my reaction to the Shibari chest harnesses and rope corsets that I've been in lately. I seem to get very relaxed, almost sleepy, when I'm in rope. The gag that he placed me in last night seemed to compound that. I could breathe just fine... couldn't take a deep breath, but I could get full regular breaths in just fine... even with the gag. When we were just sitting there watching TV on the couch, I was very sleepy... but very easily aroused. I'm just wondering what other people's reactions to being bound are. Obviously I don't know you but what you call "relaxed" sounds a lot like sub-space, from your description and circumstances. I love rope - it is the embodiment of controlling another person. Cuffs make for expediency and even a "headspace" fashion accessory around the home but rope *IS* bondage. Probably every sub I've known automatically associates rope with control and loss of choices etc and some have been a little difficult to tie because they start zoning out (prematurely) as the bonds tighten. That can be annoying, especially if I'm tying something intricate - but not in a bad way.... Focus.
