Thanks to all who responded. We are staying at the Qaulity Inn off of I-5. Nice looking town (so far) but I am not used to grey air any more. I know it is the air cause I can see blue sky if I look straight up. It does seem like the space between people here is widespread. Florida I wanna get together for coffee with some one, unless they are out on the panhandle or in Miami it is about a 2 hour average drive. It is usually just a matter of syncing up schedules. Next time I am dragging GT along just to have someone to have coffee with. poenkitten [:(]

Yeah but there doesn't seem to be any life in either of the Cities..at least not kinky life. Fresno has a party this weekend, but, without someone who is going and knows us escorting us, there is no shot at that. BADS seems to have closed in Bakerfield and the Bakersfield munch is the weekend we leave. Sigh. Between the sere grass, the grey air (smoke), the Dry heat of 110, and the serious lack of people just willing to meet for a cup of coffee and chat here in California, Florida is looking mighty friendly. Clubs are advertised (even on CM), people are everywhere who kink to the far left of Missionary and the community is friendly. Just look at Greedy and us, always willing to help people find out whats going on each weekend..or even just to chat. If someone heads to Florida for vacation or business, give a holler, if we're home, you gots friends. Poenkitten (resigned to looking at Trees she can't even play with)

Poenkitten... I have a class from 2pm until 5pm, then the party starts at 8pm. I'm on Dungeon Monitor duty from 8pm until 9:30pm, and the party goes on until about 1 am. If you would like to go we can meet for a snack after 5pm, and then go to the party together. The party will have plenty of food, so I wouldn't eat a full dinner beforehand. It's supposed to be a small turnout, as I think peeps have lots of other stuff going on. If you want to go, I'll need to know soon, so I can email the host and ask for permission. The entry fee (cough... suggested donation) is $15 per person. Once I have all confirmations, I can send you the dungeon rules. Cali

Good luck with that. I lived in Visalia for a year, and spent a whole lotta time preving it up in our apartment, because there's barely fuck-all of a Scene there. There do seem to be a fair number of Tulare county folk on ALT who seem legit (probably because no sane spammer would pick Visalia, Tulare or Hanford as a fake home), and a reasonable number of semi-kinky Ren-Faire folk or Gothlings, but they stay to themselves quite a bit. Visalia has a couple of decent adult shops, at least.

Good on ya! I did a whole lotta kinky things out there, mostly for a lack of anything better to do while lying around naked (the old swamp cooler wasn't really up to 115 degree Visalia summers anymore),making leather gear :D I helped the landlord set up his audio system, so he generally liked us and didn't have any problems with us frollicking naked in the backyard >:)

Damn now i feel bad....i'm always talking about the heat and humidity, and the overabundance of hicks. But now i'm actually a little more proud to say....i am a Floridian(sorry old habits die hard.) ~tulip, who has been known to be hospitable to kinky people headed to Orlando....but only if they say "pretty please"[;)]

Cj and everyone, believe me, it was an enjoyable time as we met quite a few of the locals at a party last night. Calichick and Luv4 pashn are fatastic women and a lot of fun. The very erudite Mistress's Tawny and Pussy were also in attendance and made us feel very welcome. We are also very thankful to our hosts who permitted us to Attend the party on such short notice and both BlackPhx and I hope that when we get back this way we will be able to spend more time getting to know every one. Cj when Cali gets there, try and get her over to the Woodshed in Orlando, we would love for her to meet as many of the Florida people as possible. Poenkitten (struggling with inadeqaute highspeed at the hotel)
