Status: offline 		Am I the only nonservice orient sub here? No, I don't sit around feeling unwanted because he isn't giving me a task. But I've never claimed to be into that, nor him for that matter. I'm always willing to do stuff for him but it doesn't bother me if he puts the kettle on for tea instead of asking me to do it.

Status: offline 		Celeste, don't feel alone. i am not service-oriented either although i certainly love doing things for the Dominants in my life, it is not my motivator. It is just part and parcel of time spent together.

He actually did... >.<  I felt awful, the look on his face when he picked it up and realized what was going on.  I immediately got up and took the ball, threw it in the garbage and held him.  I tossed it, watched it, and looked over at him, as if to say 'well?  why haven't you gotten it.', and he went right after it.  Of course I had to assure him it was just a one time thing, a small experiment out of curiousity.

Yes, I'm probably a bit soft and lenient on him at times, but, it's working with us.

Status: offline 		Well, yeah...deep desire to serve and all that. I'm not the type to *ask* for things to do, though. It makes me kind of uncomfortable, like I'm trying to control how much serving I do, and that shouldn't be up to me. I'd rather know that if something needs to be done, I'll be told to do it, therefore making it superfluous to ask for tasks.

Hell Yes... It is a huge part of their life.. acting on my will!.... they listen for it  they are eager for it...

PS... I have a Lab crossed with border collie...  She Loves playing fetch... and will bring the ball almost begging for you to throw the ball... at my brother's wedding she was outside the hall... and spent hours fetching stones that the smokers would throw out into the parking lot... what got them.. is she always brought the very stone they would throw.. she never tried to pass off one that they didn't throw.  She is a very good submissive bitch!

encase you missed the analogy... it's great that a submissive is eager to for the ball to be thrown... but it is even better if they fetch the ball you throw and not the ball they try to pass off as you throwing.
