For those of you who use Zone Alarm, I am posting this link from the BBC news-site. It just happened to me and I was unable to access the net until I switched Zone Alarm off. Obviously, do not switch Zone Alarm off without having another Firewall set up - or at least set one up immediately. Best option would be not to install the update until they fix the problem. the.dark.

Hmm.... I couldn't "find" my server yesterday, I wonder if that was at the root of the problem?

Well jeez that explains why my desktop wouldn't connect. Thanks so much for posting that! Of course I read this long after I spent time crawling around following cables all over the place. [8\|]

I work IT for a living, and I can safetly say that Zone Alarm just like Norton Security Suite is very eager to jump the gun and lock down your internet. That and a cable modem in standby are the most common customer service errors I have seen.
