Goog lord does anyone eat healthy in Austin?

No. They consider BBQ brisket a vegetable course.

I visit Austin all the time,....can't really say I know of any interesting places to eat though.  I mainly go down there cause the metal scene in Austin is really good and they have a lot of good bands, but that's just my thing.

Austin also has some of the coolest mountain scenery around the northwest side of town.  My ex vocalist use to live there and it was really beautiful on that side of town.

I love to cook as well, and will do so if I am entertaining... Its just I spend so much time working that more often than not I just swing past the Cattledrive BBQ, or Chilos Seafood, or Sudies Catfish Shack, or Mama Mias or whatever to grab something... I spend an ungdly amount of time in front of the computer... My posts here are made in between pulling weather, checking flight plans, waiting for weight and balance, waiting on e-mails, etc... I probably work 70-80 hours a week so I dont have much time to cook. :(

DA,  would you mind dropping me a note on the other side about some good restraunts?   i have a birthday coming up and TheEngineer said i have to pick someplace new.     taco cabana is great but he says it has to be "nice" lol

I think I ate at a Taco Cabana while I was in Austin a few years ago.... if it's the same place  Reminded me of a Mexican version of McDonalds.
