I am currently looking for a larg-ish Death Star to decorate the top of our Christmas tree, but have been unsuccessful so far in my search, does anyone know where I can get a Death Star that would go well on the top of a tree?

http://search.ebay.com//search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=star+wars+death+star+ornament
try there : )

if you don't find what you like there, look on this link

http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fstype=1&catref=C6&from=R10&satitle=hallmark+ornament+star+wars&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search&fts=2&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1

and check back with both if you don't see what you want today; things are added all the time, and will be more with the holidays approaching.

things are usually cheaper on the 'bay than from other places, but if you can't find it, there's always amazon.com. hope you find what you seek. be well.

I want to say Hallmark actually makes a death star ornament. You might try toy stores to see what you can find.

Of course I had to do a search...

it's not geeky, it is just knowing how to type into a search engine. this is a very good site for that as it has many all on one page (dogpile and hotbot are pretty good):

Some of the stores at the mall had a Star Wars Chistmass Tree for sale.

For the death star however, I think it may be best to make your own. At Wal Mart you can buy a large styrofoam ball in the arts and craft dept. With a knife, gliter, and some paint you can make something that's way cool. Use a pencil to make two holes. One for the botom. Then make another to go from behind on the side. You can run a wire with a single red bulb for the Ray of Destruction. The glitter is to circle the inside of the crator part of the Ray for extra effect.

So before you exhaust yourself on a mad goose hunt, take a breath and let creativity take over.

One of my friends has a window suction death star that would be about the right size to fit on a tree. I don't think he's getting rid of it, though. I think he got it on e-bay. Also, try your local Walmart, what with the new movies being out and all. Ooh ooh! Better yet, you could make a lightsaber star. That would be awesome!

I've got a bad feeling about this...

Target had some Star Wars ornaments this year. But I did not see a tree topper. But it won't be too hard to make one if you can't find one. May the Force by with you.

Good Luck with that. I love Star Wars too. Wish I could find stuff on Stargate. I loved that Movie too. Star Wars Part 3 was great, did anyone else see it?

Making one is a great idea!

I found tons of ornaments, but they are all too small, besides, we already have a plan about the ornaments...........Imagine hundreds of stormtroopers
Between the two of us our Star Wars collection has better then 1000 pieces including hundreds and hundreds of stormtroopers, with almost half or them out of the package.

Sormtrooper christmas three, wonderful idea. I would be careful aboute putting electricity in some home made ornament though, the fire hazard could become to big, you dont want to start a fire.

I wouldn't be putting electricity in it, and I would keep the lights away from the top of the tree.

As far as the stormtroopers being "homemade" I don't see that as being a problem. Since the lights themselves and the tree are both plastic I don't think that having plastic on the tree would be an issue
