i'm with the majority here and think it took courage on the guy's part, and who knows, he might just be corruptible. ~grins~ If nothing else, bask in the compliment.

I have to agree, my first thought was "chickenshit" He never had the ball he just pointed to one left in your court. ~lame~ Perhaps he was being exceedingly respectful of your intensity with your work and absolutely had to go, but how long does it take to verbalize "I'd like to get to know you, I know you're busy and I've gotta run - but here's my number" ???

I think it was a nice lowkey way of hitting on someone, gives them an out, though was positive enough to say "WHEN you have time" not "IF you have time". I'd feel pretty happy if I was the OP!

And I also thought he might just want to hire your typing skills ... which, if you've time, can't be all bad either!

So do tell ... how did it go?

I would hate to be a man looking for a partner anymore. If you hang around a cute woman hoping to draw her attention or see if you might have something in common you are "stalking" her if she doesn't want it. If you flat out ask them to go for a cup of coffee straight out they are scared because you might be a serial killer or rapist.

I think he picked a good way, non threatening, and the ball is in your court. If you click when you talk and want to meet the same precautions you use in the lifestyle work in vanilla.

If it goes further don't pass him by because you think he is vanilla. I dated a guy for 2 years who was "vanilla" when I was somewhat down on the lifestyle. That remains the best sex I ever had. He had a lot of dominant qualities and getting close to year 2 I no longer had to stifle desires to scream "hit my butt" when the sex was getting intense.

If things go that far he might end up being the best dominant you could want if you are willing to spend the time discussing how "you don't hit women" doesn't necessarily apply when the woman wants it. Explain your needs and why you feel the way you do. Expalin how the relationships work.

And you're right it did take alot of courage, now that I think about it. He might possibly be corruptable. Even though I'm not looking to corrupt anyone just yet.
I think the reason I even mentioned it was because of how I just tucked this part of me away conveniently for two years and it turned out to be a fluke for the most part. But that was then...this is now.

FWIW - I met D in a vanilla situation, and neither of us knew the other was into D/s for about six months. Once we discovered our mutual interest, everything fell into place.
